Hello! My name is Emily Rutzky, and I love to design. I have been a graphic designer for 20 years in Nashville, Tennessee. Currently, I am the Creative Manager for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. I handle the concept, design, and production of all of the printed pieces that the organization puts out each year. I am also lucky to be part of the broader marketing and communication efforts for CFMT. I love the work that we get to do in our community, and to use my design experience to share and grow our message is very fulfilling.

When I am not designing in my job, I tend to always have some project going. I love to find ways to create with my hands, usually with gardening or cooking; it has been pottery and sewing in the past. Lately, I have found my way back to painting and am enjoying both acrylic and watercolor again. Most recently, I have been taking various writing classes and am honing that passion. This has led me back to a decades long dream of writing children’s books!

This website is meant to give me a space to document and share projects I have worked on and to hopefully inspire others. If you have any questions about any projects or have an idea for working together, please feel free to reach out.
