The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee 2020 Annual Report

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s annual report is essential for the organization to communicate with its donors and the community. A lot of care is put into reflecting on the year and identifying important milestones. Each story and feature tells the larger story of CFMT's work.

This particular annual report was a look back on the year 2020 and all of the challenges our community faced during an unprecedented year. While we worked our way through tornados, the struggles of COVID-19 and quarantine, and a Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville, we also saw so much hope and resilience within our area. Our hope with this report was to focus on the bright spots and highlight the important work that was done to lift us all back up.

The cover art features a chalk art design I drew on my driveway as a nod to the time in quarantine when everyone was leaving messages of hope for each other on sidewalks and shop windows. I photographed my son holding a sign, much like people did all over social media. The collage illustrations on the inside are also original.
