Cherry Whiskey

Santa brought me a sous vide, which if you are not familiar is a “cooking technique that utilizes precise temperature control to deliver consistent, restaurant-quality results.” In more plain terms it is the process of vacuum-sealing food in a bag, then cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath. I have loved it so far and am slowly working on fully figuring this thing out. On the app for my cooker there were some cocktail recipes, which I found intriguing. This Cherry Whiskey stood out and so in a stroke of luck I grabbed the last bag of cherries at the grocery store a day before a big snowstorm was rolling through. With about 6 feet of snow outside for a few days I had some extra time to try this out. It was the perfect way to warm up after coming inside from sledding and walking around. I might now always associated cherry whiskey with snow.
