flower arranging
Summer will be over soon, and with that, a lot of the flowers in the yard will be gone until next year. A few weeks ago, our hydrangeas looked big and beautiful, so we spent one morning cutting some to bring inside. The next day a friend delivered a GORGEOUS bouquet to my door. She grows and sells the most beautiful flowers, so it was such a treat to fill our house with them.
Both flower bunches gave me a chance to introduce Boyd to the art of flower arranging. He already enjoys examining the flowers and talking about their colors when we are out in the yard, but they usually end up crumpled on the ground after he has thoroughly inspected them. So I loved giving him a chance to learn how to be gentle and create something with them.
Putting flowers together is one of my favorite activities, so I am excited to have a little helper join me.
